About Us

Our Founder/CEO

Dr. Andrea L. (Dickey) Keen-Avery

Dr. Dickey launched her career as a school social worker in the Baltimore, Maryland area school system. This specific experience built her foundation in practice and sparked her interest in Hip-Hop Therapy. Upon earning clinical licensure in 2007, Dickey began to focus on providing mental health with Hip-Hop Therapy based interventions.

Education

Earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from South Carolina State University in 2002; with advanced standing placement, in 2003, she received her Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina; and a Doctorate in Social Work from Tulane University in August 2022. Additionally, she is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
